4 chicken breast fillets
- 4 burger buns
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon
onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoondried basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
-Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced onions
- Mayonnaise
- Ketchup
Instructions:
1. Prepare the chicken: - Pound the chicken breast fillets until they are about ½ inch thick. - In a bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. - Dip each chicken fillet into buttermilk, then coat them evenly with the flour mixture.
2. Fry the chicken: - Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot to a temperature of 350°F (175°C). - Carefully place the coated chicken fillets into the hot oil and fry for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. - Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
3. Assemble the burger: - Slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them if desired. - Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on both sides of the buns. - Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a chicken fillet. - Top the chicken with sliced tomatoes and onions. - Add another lettuce leaf on top and cover with the remaining half of the bun.
4.
